What types of events can be hosted at SD Local Studio?
SD Local Studio is suitable for weddings, business meetings, workshops, art exhibits, and private celebrations.
How many guests can the venue accommodate?
Our main event room (the one with the 8x16' stage) can seat 40-45 people.
Do you provide on-site catering or can we hire our own catering services
We do not offer on-site catering but you are welcome to bring in outside catering services or catering delivery. We can provide, as part of our coffee and supplies package, warming dishes, plates and utensils for catering needs.
Are there coffee and water options for my event?
We do offer an add-on service where you'll get access to our supply room where you can access supplies to serve coffee and tea. Our space does have a commercial ice-making machine, filtered water, a fridge, sink, and water dispensers free of charge. Other supplies, such as cups, plates, silverware, coffee, K-cups, tea options are additional.
What is the internet speed like in the studio?
SD Local Studio is wired with a dedicated fiber internet with up to 2GB of speed up and down (wired only) and up to 1GB up and down for wifi. Our wifi routers can take up to 125 connections and we have a CAT6 wire you can plug into a computer for any kind of live-streaming you'd like to do from the studio. We provide a detailed onboarding PDF document on how to use and where to access these varies features in the studio.
Are there parking facilities available at SD Local Studio
Yes, we offer ample on-site parking for all guests, ensuring easy access and convenience for your event attendees.
Can I use only a portion of the event space?
Since each portion of the studio is connected, the rental of the space is an all or nothing rental, meaning we can't rent only a portion of it. When you rent the studio space for whatever type or event you have, you'll get everything.
What audio/visual equipment is available for use during events?
The main event space has an audio system, microphones (handheld and lapel mics), 2 large 70" monitors, speakers in the ceiling, and ways to hook up a computer for via HDMI to the monitors for powerpoint or other presentations. The large training room has a projector and portal audio speakers. Internet is available all through the space. The space is not equipped with any video cameras or livestream, however you can bring your own and use our high-speed fiber internet to deliver your event online. We do offer a complete video package if you want a multi-camera event recording and streaming of your event (only available for 3-day event packages).
Can I hold a party in this event space and serve alcohol?
We do NOT have a license to serve alcohol so if this is needed for your event, you will need to hire a company or bartender that can provide that license along with the service. Otherwise, serving alcohol in the space is prohibited.
Are their hotels near the venue for our participants to stay if coming into town? Do you have any hotel discount offers?
The studio is located on "Hotel Circle South" so yes, there are lots of hotels around, several within walking distance. We do provide recommended hotels by quality and price in our onboarding document to share with your clients who travel in for your event. We do not have any programs with these hotels that offer discounts, however you usually can contact them and arrange block deals if you want.
